What I find sacred

Note from the author: I have decided to set myself a wee challenge in order to get the creative juices flowing after a bit of a creative slump: 30 days of writing and (potentially) publishing on Medium. Let’s see how it goes. Here goes the first piece:

***

Duality.

Of him who
blankly stares
into my soul with
unguarded eyes and
reaps the words out.

The chaser.
Cheap philosophy
co-creator
of binary mythos and
rippling prompts:

You talk about
the ‘nowness’,
the ‘goodness’,
yet your words fall
flat and

empty

Bleeding ethos detaches
spirituality from what
I find most sacred —

Your sacrality covers but
the thin veil within
the upper layer
of connection from
flesh-and-soul binding.

Missing the best of
both worlds, we twist
and we turn yet our
souls

won’t

meet.

(And how could they?
I treasure Dawns and
you worship Dusks.
I am the fire and
you are the dragon.
I pave the way,
you draw the close.)

Pine needles into fractals
into mountains into skies
won’t meet clouds won’t feed
birds with

barren connections and

unworshipped bodies.
